Types of flight cancellation With Delta Airlines 

24-hour Risk-Free Cancellation

According to Delta Airlines 24-hour Risk-Free Cancellation means that after you've purchased a qualifying E-Ticket, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours after booking to enjoy hassle-free cancellation and receive a 100% refund including all taxes, fees, and charges. The refund amount is processed within 7 working days as the original payment and reflect on your bank statement within 1-2 billing cycles. In addition to the risk-free cancellation within 24 hours of booking, you can change your itinerary without a fee; however, you must pay the fare difference if any. 

Note:- This policy applies to both award and non-award flight.

Refundable Ticket

If you have a refundable ticket, no cancellation fee will be applied upon the original charge as the ticket is supposed a flexible one. The refund value will be credited to your account as the principal payment. Refund tickets must be purchased with a credit card, cash, or checked to help process the refund method according to airline guidelines. 

Non-refundable Ticket

 In the case of Non-Refundable Flight Tickets, you may have to pay a cancellation fee ranging from $200 - $500 accordingly. This amount will get deducted from the value of your flight ticket and the remaining amount is provided in the form of e-credit only which will be in your delta airline account which you created at the time of booking. The validity period of the e-credit is 1 year. You need to rebook your flight within a period of 1 year.

A cancellation fee is only applicable if cancellation requests made after 24 hours as a risk-free cancellation.

Award Ticket

Award Tickets are the tickets that use Delta SkyMiles to book their trip. Award tickets must cancel their tickets before 72 hours from their departure time are refundable. After cancellation, all miles used for ticket booking are credited to your SkyMiles account. But if you make changes more than 72 hours away from your departure time are non-refundable. SkyMiles Platinum and Diamond Medallion members are exempted from the cancellation fee.

• visit the official website of Delta airlines, i.e. www.delta.com on your computer browser
• Click on the ‘My Trips’ option, i.e shown on the top of the home page, 
• You will need to enter your booking confirmation number, your first name, and last name, and then press enter
